Meet the Quadriplegic Man who is the DEA's First Oregon Medical Marijuana Victim
The Hemp & Cannabis Foundation is proud to help Leroy Stubblefield, a quadriplegic man, and his 2 caregivers, who are Oregon's 1st state-licensed medical marijuana patients known to have their garden seized by the US Drug Enforcement Administration. We are happy to give them 7 new healthy plants and an ounce of free outdoor organic cannabis flowers each. We interview them about their ordeal and look at the DEA agents business card. The DEA agent threatens quadriplegic Stubblefield and says, "You're lucky we don't seize your house." THCF announces it's press conference on 10-21-02 at Stubblefield's announcing a lawsuit against the DEA and participating officers.

Marihuana (56 min.s)
This 1936 film was a companion piece to Reefer Madness. Some fun loving kids smoke weed, offered to them by a man that represents evil incarnate. The result is nude swimming, a drowning... and then things get even worse! Originally titled, "Marihuana- The Devil's Weed."

Paul Krassner Interview (51 min.s)
Paul Krassner, investigative satirist and founder of the new underground press in the USA in the 1960s with his paper, The Realist, is interviewed by Cannabis Common Sense producer for the first 125 shows, Lanny Swerdlow. When People magazine called Krassner "Father of the underground press," he immediately demanded a paternity test. Actually, he had published The Realist magazine from 1958-1974 & 1985-2001. "The taboos may have changed," he wrote, "but irreverence is still our only sacred cow."

Oregon Medical Marijuana Protest

The video has lots of funny scenes, from the present, the future and the past, and ends with scenes of spectacular wealth from William Randolph Hearst's mansion and imagines what might have been said there to criminalize cannabis.

Vote of Oregon's state Senate to recriminalize cannabis, Friday the 13th of June 1997.
This is a videotape of the Oregon Senate's floor vote to recriminalize personal possession of small amounts of cannabis which took place at 8 PM on the evening of Friday the 13th of June, 1997. There is a wonderful confrontation between Sen. Bill Dwyer and the police officer and sponsor of the bill, former Sen. Shirley Stuhl. Though this bill passed the legislature we were able to circulate and qualify a referendum to stop the bill until a vote by the people of Oregon this November.

Past president of the Oregon Medical Association, Dr. George Robins, endorses OCTA.
Dr. Robins compares marijuana and aspirin and says that marijuana is less dangerous than aspirin. This past president of the Oregon Medical Association, our branch of the AMA, endorsed OCTA and was a chief petitioner on the first petition drive in 1996. He was president of the OMA when marijuana was first decriminalized in 1973.

Dennis Miller's Home Box Office series examines the failed drug war with Miller's sardonic wit. His monologue on drug legalization starts about 4 and a half minutes into the show and goes on for 20 minutes of this 30 minute show. Bill Maher, of ABC's "Politically Incorrect" appears for 10 minutes and concurs that drugs should be legalized.

Here's an AVI file on Portland University's Student Hemp Advocacy Group (SHAG) site, which should work on most web browsers. AVI files are big and bulky, but they also have much higher resolution. This 10 second clip is over 6 megabytes. It shows a NW law enforcement officer with a bundle of cannabis stalks on his shoulder explaining the economic incentive of their marijuana harvest when he says, "I would like to thank the marijuana growers for my job security."
