Logistics Trust, Inc. has launched a subsidiary named Doobster, a mobile application and platform that allows a consumer of legal marijuana to order products from their smartphones, tablets or computer and have the products delivered to their physical location. The company said it is launching in 15 states.

Started as a logistics and compliance consulting company in January 2013 by Scott Abadjian, founder and CEO, Logistics Trust said it now plans to provide consumers with a user-friendly, on-demand mobile (SaaS) platform.

"Consumers can register and order products quickly and with confidence," the company announced in a press release. "Products are delivered to a consumer’s location within minutes by using smart algorithms, advanced routing, heat maps, GPS, location services and other techniques."

“Doobster is not Uber for marijuana; we are more than a marijuana delivery app,” Abadjian said. "The Company intends to make the term 'doobster' synonymous with quality logistics and compliance facilitation services within the legal marijuana industry.

"Another objective of the Company is to create long-term value for its customers and business partners through the quality of its technology and services, its ability to facilitate compliance with applicable state and local laws, and its active commitment to helping customers and business partners build wealth," Abadjian said.

Doobster Platform users will include the following parties:

• State-authorized Cooperatives/Collectives/Dispensaries (“vendors”; “dispensaries”);

New markets include Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, San Diego and more; new mobile web store available for Apple customers

The technology company behind the first in-App, on-demand medical marijuana service, Nestdrop is expanding throughout the West Coast to new markets in California, Oregon, and Washington. Major cities that will now have Nestdrop’s communication platform include Seattle, Portland and San Francisco, with additional cities like San Diego and more being available to service patients in the near future.

The expansion makes Nestdrop the only marijuana delivery service currently operating across multiple states, reports Sarah Buhr at TechCrunch.

"Well folks, it's been a long few months of teamwork, research, energy & persistence," Nestrop's Facebook page posted on Wednesday. "But we're proud to announce Nestdrop #medicalmarijuana is finally live & ready to deliver smiles in major cities up & down the coast! :-)"

“It’s kind of funny," said Nestdrop cofounder Michael Pycher. "Our competitors probably thought we were dead and that’s what we wanted them to think while we were going about this other option.”

iPhone users can text “smile” to 27126 to have the app sent to their device and Android users can download the app on Google Play.

California: E-Commerce Meets Medical Marijuana For Patients

Private Reserve Compassionate Care Inc. on Tuesday announced the grand opening of their e-commerce website www.Cannabizon.com) that will service medical marijuana patients throughout California.

“Much like any other e-commerce online experience, our California based patients simply order and pay their 'donations' for their favorite Medical Marijuana medications from our website, and we will ship their orders directly to their front door for signature and delivery in 1-2 business days,” a prepared statement from Cannabizon reads. "The only difference being that products are only available to California based Medical Marijuana patients. They need simply to log-on, sign-up, to start their e-commerce experience."

Cannabizon.com said it "knows that many local California municipalities refuse to allow traditional brick-n-mortar dispensaries or delivery services to operate within their city limits. Equally important, many of the more popular Edible and Vapor Companies have no way of offering their products statewide.

"Cannabizon.com answers all of these challenges, and acts as a safe and highly effect delivery channel for many products that are simply out of reach to those patients that most benefit from them," the company's statement reads. “Even when available locally, many of our patients are not able to visit a brick-n-mortar dispensary for reasons that range from health related travel restrictions to personal security and/or privacy concerns.”
