The Campaign for the Restoration and Regulation of Hemp (CRRH) and Help End Marijuana Prohibition (HEMP) are gathering signatures now to put two initiatives on the 2014 ballot. As of February 1, 2014, we have over 40,000 signatures turned in to the Secretary of State. The I-21 and I-22 campaigns are asking for your help to end marijuana prohibition in the state. Please help us collect signatures and spread awareness about the issue. To make the ballot with these ground-breaking initiatives, we have to submit 87,213 valid signatures from registered Oregon voters for I-22, and 116,284 valid Oregon voters’ signatures for I-21. We will gather over 250,000 total signatures, to allow for duplicates or invalid signatures and to show the legislators in Oregon we mean business.
I-21, the Oregon Cannabis Amendment, is a constitutional amendment that would end criminal penalties for marijuana and give adult Oregonians permission to grow and use cannabis hemp.
I-22, the Oregon Cannabis Tax Act, supersedes existing laws governing cannabis (marijuana) and creates a commission to regulate cultivation, processing, sale of cannabis. It would also restore hemp into Oregon agriculture as an option for farmers.
This is your “Call to Action” to volunteer: print out several of the single signature sheets and collect signatures from friends and family for both I-21 and I-22 initiatives. Be sure to confirm everyone who you hand the petition to is a registered Oregon Voter. If they are not a registered voter, direct them to http://oregonvotes.org/.
